Alia began assisting dance classes at New Vision Dance Center in 2022 and started teaching in 2024. She first enrolled at the studio in 2011 at just two years old and has loved every moment! At age seven she joined the company, and since then she’s enjoyed opportunities such as performing at Portland Trail Blazers’ games, appearing in the Beaverton City Parade, attending a summer intensive with Oregon Ballet Theatre, and competing in dance events across several states.

Alia values many things about her NVDC family: exploring different dance genres, the exciting performance opportunities, and the teachers and teammates who have become like a second family. Teaching dance is deeply rewarding for her — she enjoys passing the art form to the next generation and making learning fun. Seeing students’ smiles each week as they walk into class makes her day.
