Beaverton Area Dance Classes For Kids

Dancing can be a source of joy and inspiration that lasts a lifetime, and it can begin in early childhood when dance lessons are introduced at a young age. Twinkle Babies dance classes for kids create a welcoming environment for children from 18 months of age up to 2 years old.

The Twinkle Babies class is a gentle introduction to dance. Each child’s self-confidence is encouraged and supported while strength, flexibility and coordination develop. Our instructors introduce the use of props and create a fun, supportive environment for young dancers.

Areas Covered

Choosing a studio that’s conveniently located makes it easier to bring children to classes, so we offer choices between two locations for our students. New Vision Dance Center serves residents of the Beaverton and Hillsboro, Oregon, areas. The studio is located on NE Walker Road in Hillsboro.

Our family friendly, comfortable facility on NE Walker Road is open on weekdays Monday through Friday and on Saturdays. Our schedules are published on the website to make it easy for parents to keep up with seasonal changes and lesson times.

Student Suitability For Learning Dance

Our dance classes are set up to support children and developing dancers of all ages and at different developmental stages.

  • Children are grouped by age so they’re in classes with other children of similar developmental levels.
  • Our youngest group of dance students, those from 18 months old through 2 years of age, is referred to as our Twinkle Babies.
  • The classes for our youngest two groups of dancers last only 30 minutes.

The lessons for these youngsters are based on using a fun approach to introduce children to dance.

The Right Dance Studio for Your Child

At New Vision Dance Center we have been teaching kids in the Beaverton and Hillsboro areas to love dancing for many years. We strive to help develop smart dancers who care for themselves and the art form that they are learning.

Benefits Of Taking Dance Classes

The skills students learn in dance classes overlap with the benefits of taking classes. When skills like coordination and strength develop, benefits like better stamina and flexibility result from the extended practice of dance movements.

Dance class encourages physical fitness plus an appreciation for music and movement. It helps students increase strength and muscle control. Learning to dance helps students develop a love of movement that provides satisfaction and joy that lasts a lifetime. Dance also provides an outlet for energetic young children to release some excess energy in a positive and productive manner.

Our Progressive Learning Environment

New Vision Dance Center focuses on creating a progressive learning environment that encourages each student to develop skills in a safe, creative and fun manner. Responsibility is taught as part of the discipline, as is body awareness. Students learn about the significance of warming up properly, about technique and about choreography.
