Our Response to COVID-19

The health of our dancers, staff, and community has always been our top priority. In accordance with CDC and OHA guidelines, we’re making every effort to ensure our instruction continues with care throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. From socially distant dancing to studio sanitization, we’ve put a variety of protocols into practice and will continue to do so as long as necessary.

Socially Distant Classes with a Twist

As an art form, dance is a great way to support a child’s physical, emotional, and social well-being. We are prepared to continue to offer classes that foster those same values throughout the pandemic. Here are some of the changes we’ve implemented:

Mask Wearing and Social Distancing

Upon entering the building, our students (under 5yrs) and staff are required to wear a mask at all times. Additional water breaks are taken as may be needed and we have implemented class procedures to keep us dancing together while maintaining a safe distance.

Virtual Dance Classes

Throughout the pandemic, we’ve been able to adapt to adjustments in guidelines and shutdowns by limiting in-studio class sizes and providing virtual classes to students of all ages. We’ve also offered the opportunity for students to dance together in the studio through private lessons individually and with their own personal dance bubble alongside other members of their social circle.

Summer Camp Safety

We’ve modified our summer camps to ensure safety. We’ve been able to limit contact between families during pick-up and drop-off, keep the food and personal belongings of our dancers separate, and also restrict the number of visitors allowed.

Studio Cleanliness Protocols

We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our studio. Now more than ever, we’re taking extra care to help prevent the spread of disease by wiping down and sanitizing surfaces regularly. We also disinfect common spaces (like restrooms) multiple times throughout the day.

Dancers and staff members are encouraged to frequently wash and sanitize their hands while at the studio and during performances. Each dance studio has its own ventilation system to ensure dance can be safely enjoyed indoors.

Health and COVID-19 Symptoms

To help ensure everyone’s safety, we ask all those entering the studio to conduct their own regular health checks. Anyone exhibiting possible COVID-19 symptoms or who has been in contact with individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 should not participate in classes until cleared by their healthcare professional. Symptoms of COVID-19 may include the following:Silhouette artwork of dancer
