New Vision Dance Center Staff
Heather
Heather has trained extensively in ballet, tap, jazz and gymnastics. Her dancing and choreographing career has extended through the US, Australia and Europe. Her credits include international industrial shows for Sortimo, Germany, print ads for Valentines, television shows of "Dancing with Doc," "Information Keeps Us Strong", and "Aptitude"; she has also choreographed and staged a show for the 2000 Olympics in Australia. Heather was the founder and artistic director of elan Dance Company and produces and directs the Grinch. Heather has also coached the Hillsboro High School Dance Team.
Lynn
Lynn started dancing and performing at the age of four with Richard Billings. She has studied tap, ballet, jazz and modern. While growing up in the Portland area, she also competed and trained on a gymnastics team. She has danced across the west coast, Australia and New York. Lynn graduated from the University of Oregon in 1991 with a Bachelor's degree in Science where she also continued her dance training at the university and with Eugene Ballet.
Bradian
Bradian has studied dance throughout the Portland area, Utah, Seattle, and New York. Dancing since she was nine; she has worked with some of the areas’ best teachers and choreographers, including Mary Hunt, Tracey Durbin, Jenny Creer-King, Patti Jones, Lisa Stoddard, and many more. She has performed with élan, Rose City Ballet and Deus Vult, along with groups in Utah and Portland. After being awarded various dance scholarships, Bradian has used her training to teach classes in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop.
Elizabeth
Elizabeth started dancing at age seven. She continued on scholarship at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. Elizabeth joined Pacific Ballet Theatre in 1985 and became a founding member of the Oregon Ballet Theater in 1989 and retired from OBT in 1996.
Courtney
Courtney graduated from Hillsboro High School in 2007. She was captain of her dance team, and made the All State Dance team. She was also the Assistant Dance Team Coach at Hilhi as well as teaching at New Vision, while attending school at PCC. She is a former member of elan, Rose City Ballet and Deus Vult Ensemble of Dance. Courtney has performed at Disneyland, Disney World, the Bahamas and New York.
Rapheal
(Bubba)
Rapheal has been in a number of plays, musicals, and dance concerts and loves every minute of it. He has been dancing with New Vision Dance Center for five years. Rapheal is a very talented dancer and hopes to go far with his dancing. His goal is to pursue show business and someday take the stage on the Great White Way.
Stephanie
Stephanie will be a Senior at Hillsboro High School this year, and has been training with New Vision Dance Center for 14 years now. She has been apart of many performance companies during her time with Mainstreet Dance Studio and New Vision including; Deus Vult Dance Ensemble, Rose City Ballet, and currently the New Vision Dance Co. Having performed in Disney World, Disney Land, Hawaii, and throughout the northwest, she hopes to one day work for Disney. Currently Stephanie is a student of all forms of dance, and outside of dance still finds time to be active in her Young Life group.
Julia
Julia is a junior at Aloha High School. She has been dancing with New Vision and its previous studios for 13 years. In the past, she has participated in gymnastics and various sports including basketball and volleyball. Her dance training consists mainly of ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary and hip-hop dance styles. She was a previous member of the Aloha Dance Team and is a current member of New Vision Dance Company.
Josh
Josh Burns began his dance career at 17 when he auditioned to be a member of the company "The Young Americans” a non-profit performing company based in southern California. As a member of the company, Josh trained in all styles of dance; jazz, tap, and lyrical initially before falling in love with hip hop. Josh is a talented and energetic performer, choreographer and instructor who has performed and taught across the world.
