Heather has been fortunate to receive guidance and instruction from some of the world’s most accomplished choreographers and educators such as Michael Rooney, Joe Tremaine, Doug Caldwell and Hama. Her performing career was centered on industrial shows that traveled throughout the US and Europe. Heather, however, is most proud of her students. Whether they are pursuing careers in the performing arts or mainstream America, many have returned to tell her that dance has played an important role in the development of their lives. Some of her dancers have found themselves dancing on Broadway, owning their own studios, in television commercials, performing on cruise ships, working as fitness educators and more. She is honored to continue teaching her passion of dance.
Bradian has studied dance throughout the Portland area, Utah, Seattle, and New York. Dancing since she was nine, she has worked with some of the areas’ best teachers and choreographers, including Mary Hunt, Tracey Durbin, Jenny Creer-King, Patti Jones, Lisa Stoddard, and many more. She has performed with élan, Rose City Ballet and Deus Vult, along with groups in Utah and Portland. After being awarded various dance scholarships, Bradian has used her training to teach classes in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop.
Elizabeth started dancing at age seven. She continued on scholarship at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. Elizabeth joined Pacific Ballet Theatre in 1985 and became a founding member of the Oregon Ballet Theater in 1989 and retired from OBT in 1996.
Courtney graduated from Hillsboro High School in 2007. She was captain of her dance team, and made the All State Dance team. She was also the Assistant Dance Team Coach at Hilhi as well as teaching at New Vision, while attending school at PCC. She is a former member of elan, Rose City Ballet and Deus Vult Ensemble of Dance. Courtney has performed at Disneyland, Disney World, the Bahamas and New York.
Deja has been dancing and performing for 17 years. She trained with New Vision and is a former member of Deus Vult Ensemble of Dance, Rose City Ballet, and New Vision Dance Co. She has studied ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, belly dance, and modern as well as acting and musical theatre. Since graduating from Hillsboro High School in 2010, she has trained and performed with Mills College, PCC Dance, and is currently pursuing a BA in Dance at Pacific University. She has also choreographed for Poynter Middle School, Hillsboro High School and Century High School, continuing her interests in theatre and dance performance. Deja is proud to be part of the New Vision family and hopes to inspire all of her students to continue learning and dancing.
Kitty began dancing when she was 3 years old. She has had extensive training in jazz, contemporary, tap, ballet and hip hop. She studied under the guidance of Heather Renk, Bradian Lien, Lynn Stahr and Elizabeth Burden while performing and traveling with the New Vision Dance Company. Currently Kitty is studying business in Portland and performing with Nonsense Dance Company. Her love for dance is unending, and she hopes to share that passion with all of her students.
Racine attends Glencoe High School. She has been dancing with New Vision Dance since she was 3 and is now a part of New Vision Dance Company. While being on company, Racine has gained great opportunities performing and attending conventions. Her favorite performances are winter productions. She has performed in Annie, The Grinch and The Nutcracker. Ever since Racine took her very first dance class, she knew she loved dance and it was her passion. She is planning to continue dance throughout her life.
Stephanie was raised in Hillsboro, Oregon. She began her dance training at New Vision Dance Center and was heavily involved with the New Vision Dance Company. Stephanie received her B.A. in Dance and minor in Business Administration from the University of Oregon in 2015. There she performed in many faculty and student productions, including a piece from guest choreographer Mark Haim. In her fourth year at University of Oregon, she was elected Public Relations board member for Dance Oregon, a student run organization that provides free dance classes for the community. Stephanie also studied dance abroad in London, England at the University of Roehampton. She studied various dance courses including; ballet, modern release, choreography, and Cunningham technique. Now in the Portland area, Stephanie will be teaching at New Vision Dance Center and studying with Muddy Feet Contemporary Dance Company.
Marci began dancing at the age of 3. She attended Brigham Young University where she traveled and performed with the International Folkdance Ensemble for her four years there. Marci graduated with a degree in elementary education and enjoyed working in the public schools. Marci is excited to share her love of dance and to work with her favorite age group, the tiny tots!
